Description
This is a very interesting award document for a man from Kompagnie Nr 9 of Reserve-Infanterie-Regiment Nr 92. The document measures 6 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ and is housed in a simple, period, brown wooden frame that measures 8″ x 9 3/4.” The document was issued to a Sergt. der Reserve Heinrich Wehmeyer. The award was made on 23 February 1915 for action at Marvaux. The document was signed by Oberstleutnant und Regiments=Kommandeur Dürr. A hanger on its reverse allows it to be hung to the wall.
