Description
Every Imperial German military officer took pride in maintaining an organized desk from which to do his paperwork. Part of that organization involved having a number of desk accessories (leather folios, desk trays, letter openers, etc.) that bespoke his personality. Today we are offering an interesting brass scimitar-shaped letter opener that would have been at home on such a desk. It measures 1 ½” in length and is 8 ½” at its widest point. One side of the blade features is a floral design and the word “Campagne” (campaign). Its opposite side displays a semi-intricate design with the dates 1915 and 1916.
