Description
This is a very high-caliber patriotic necklace, which is exhibited in a black leatherette presentation case. The circular pendant measures 1 3/8″ in diameter. The case is 2 ½” x 2 ½ .” A black Iron Cross, which is dated 1914, is surrounded by a gilt-toned wreath. The necklace comes complete with a small chain. The pendant is hallmarked on its reverse. The fitted leatherette case highlights the name of a jeweler in Berlin. This is a lovely, well-made piece. Since it features a black EK, it may well be a mourning piece worn by a family member in memory of a soldier who fell in battle.
