Description
This is a very interesting postcard that was flow on the Zeppelin “Schwaben” on 15 June 1912. It was produced for collectors of the period. It has two stamps and two cancellations. The normal price for mailing a postcard in 1912 was five pfennigs. A surcharge of an additional ten pfennigs was added for the air transport. The cancellations and the special stamp are quite interesting. This is FAR rarer than a postcard or letter that was flown on a 1920’s or 1930’s zeppelin. It would make an excellent addition to a zeppelin collection.
