This is a period-framed color lithograph of Generalfeldmarschall Paul von Hindenburg. It is in the style that was displayed in government offices while he was President of the Weimar Republic. He is depicted in a late-war pose. Hindenburg is wearing all of his medals and decorations, including the Pour le Mérite with Oak Leaves, the1914 Grand Cross of the Iron Cross, etc. In one hand he grips his interim generalfeldmarschall’s baton, while the other holds a sword with a Garde Star on the grip.
