Description
This is a superior-grade color print produced from an 1870/71 Franco-Prussian War-era original painting. The print measures 11 3/4″ x 18 1/2. ” It is printed on heavy paper stock. The scene depicts a village in the background, with a large army camp in front of it. In the foreground a large number of dogs are running from a French officer who is shooting at them with a pistol. A horse is lying down, which may have been shot already.
