This is a very early Kingdom of Saxony Rangliste that dates from 1817! It is very likely that many of the officers listed here served during the Napoleonic Wars then remained in the Saxon Army. Compared to later Ranglistes (in which Saxon troops were included with most of the empire’s other units), this is a relatively small book. It measures 7″ x 4 1/4″ x 3/4.” It is in amazing condition for a book that is ONE-HUNDRED-NINETY-PLUS years-old. The binding is solid, but not complete. Obviously, care must be exercised when handling such an old book. Its content is amazing. It shows every officer, his unit, and, in most cases, when he received his patent for his listed rank. It is an interesting and useful book if you are doing research on the Saxon military or specific period officers. [SALES ON ALL RANGLISTEN ARE FINAL.
