This is a one-page newspaper referred to as the “Deutsche Kriegszeitung.” It was a special edition for the Berliner Lokal-Anzeiger. It is edition number one, dated 2 August 1914, less than a week after WW I’s beginning. It has reports from various war fronts, including Luxemburg, Russia, London and even a reference to French bombing near Nürnberg! An article on the page’s reverse refers to Kaiser Wilhelm II and König Ludwig III of Bavaria. The sheet of newsprint measures 12″ x 18.” Some foxing has occurred at its top and bottom.
