In Germany, I came across a wonderful storage case for an officer’s pickelhaube and visor cap. It was totally different than any I had ever seen. While basically shaped like a pickelhaube storage case, it is not as pointed at the top. This allows for the storage of BOTH headdress pieces. While I routinely see storage cases for either pickelhauben or visor caps, this is a nifty combination of both into one. It reduced the number of cases required when the officer was traveling. It would make a great addition to any headdress collection. Some of the securing straps on the case’s exterior are missing, but the case itself is in excellent condition.
