$95.00

This is a framed photograph of Husaren-Regiment König Wilhelm I. (1. Rheinisches) Nr 7’s commanding officer. The regiment was raised in 1815, garrisoned at Bonn, and attached to the VIII. Armeekorps. The photo dates from 1895 to 1914. He is dressed in the regiment’s prewar uniform. He is also wearing his busby, and a neck order that I cannot identify. Furthermore, he sports a large medal bar with at least ten decorations, including an 1870 Iron Cross 2nd Class.
The photograph would make a good candidate for a research study. The ornate frame is quite attractive. It is a very handsome display.
