Description
This is a deluxe, matted photograph celebrating a sailor’s service. The photograph measures 6 1/8” x 9.” A total of thirteen sailors are lying down, kneeling, and standing with rifles. In the center of the back row are two petty officers. Each sailor wears a mütze with a Matrosen-Division cap tally. The matte on which the photograph is placed is cardboard pre-decorated with naval motifs. It measures 13 1/2” x 16 3/4.” Some damage appears on the matte’s edges. No markings or identifications appear on the reverse.
