Description
This is a large-format original photograph, measuring 4 5/8″ x 6 1/2,” that shows an observation balloon either preparing to launch or being reeled in after a flight. Both the crew and support vehicle are present. Several other trucks can be seen in the background. Snow is on the ground. An Iron Cross appears on the balloon’s side. A penciled description is on the reverse.
