Description
This is a Vivat Ribbon commemorating the capture of the French Fort at Maubeuge, 7 September 1914. It is a very early Vivat, covering action barely one month into the war. The ribbon is white in color. It measures 15 3/4″ x 2 1/2.” Vivats were authorized under the auspices of the German Red Cross, with part of the proceeds benefiting their work.
