Description
This postcard depicts Kaiser Wilhelm II’s (1859-1941) wife, Kaiserin Auguste Viktoria (1858-1921), their son, Prinz Adalbert (1884-1948), and his wife, Prinzessin Adelheid (1891-1971). Adalbert was the Kaiser and Kaiserin’s third son, and the only son who served in the Navy. The other five all served in the Army. Adalbert appears in his naval uniform. The postcard was produced for a naval charity’s benefit. It bears a reproduced message and all three royals’ signatures on the obverse. The postcard was not mailed.
