This postcard shows Prinz Wilhelm, Kronprinz Wilhelm and Kronprinzessin Cecilie’s fourth son, out for a morning stroll with his nanny, whose name was Hildegard. [Many thanks to our very knowledgeable German collector friend SE, who corrected an earlier misidentification of the prinz and his nanny. SE is a member of Hildegard’s family, and she owns the original photograph from which this postcard was produced. I want to thank SE for the information, which I personally find fascinating]!
