Description
This is a good formal portrait of Prinz Adalbert (1884-1948) of Prussia. Adalbert was Kaiser Wilhelm II’s third oldest son. He was the Kaiser’s only son to see service in the Navy, not the Army. He is seen in a naval officer’s uniform with a dress brocade belt and dagger, as well as an officer’s cape. On his tunic is a medal bar and a Black Eagle Breast Order.
