This postcard shows Princess Marie Auguste (1898-1983) of Anhalt, the wife of Prinz Joachim (1890-1920), Kaiser Wilhelm II’s youngest son. She bore Joachim one son before their divorce and his suicide in 1920. The pose finds her seated facing the camera. She is wearing a ruffled, lacy dress and a stylish feathered hat. Her white fur muff is in her lap.
