GERMANY – PATRIOTIC PIN – TRENCH ART – MADE FROM A DRIVING BAND OF AN ARTILLERY SHELL
This is a fine example of a patriotic pin which is made from a piece of the driving band of an artillery. Laid across the front of the pin we see a branch of Oak Leaves with acorns. At three points there are three small pieces of red colored jewels. Dangling down from the center of the pin there is a small 1914 Iron Cross. A pin on the reverse is intact.
