This postcard shows the funeral procession of Prince Friedrich Sigismund of Prussia (1895-1927). He was a prince of the House of Hohenzollern, the son of Prince Friedrich Leopold. Like all House Hohenzollern princes, he was attached to 1. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß. During WW I, he served in Flieger Abteilung Nr 22 from 1917 to 1918. His brother, Prince Friedrich Karl, also served in the Imperial German Air Service and died of wounds he suffered. Prince Friedrich Sigismund died in 1927 from a horse-jumping accident. We see the procession in the streets of Berlin. His final resting place is at Glienicke Palace. The postcard was not mailed.
