Description
This postcard shows Crown Prince Ruprecht of Bavaria in a Prussian Küraßier’s full dress uniform. Below his image is his reproduced signature. Although Ruprecht was a royal, he was also a fine, working military commander. He held a generalfeldmarschall’s rank and commanded an Armeegruppe in which he oversaw multiple armies (not divisions, mind you, ARMIES)! The postcard was produced to benefit the German Red Cross. It was mailed in 1915 as a Feldpostkarte.
