Description
PRUSSIA – GORGET – M-1893 STABSWACHEN RINGKRAGEN
This is a M-1893 gorget (Ringkragen) for a Stabswachen. The silver toned gorget is adirned with a smaller brass Prussian wappen similar to what you might see on a pickelhaube.
There is a silver linked chain which attaches on the reverse and would have allowed the man to put it around his neck and wear it on his chest. On the reverse we see the attachments for the chain. There is also a central clip which would have allowed the gorget to be secured. There are no markings on the reverse.
This gorget is in excellent condition and shows a handsome patina throughout.
