GERMANY – SHOULDER BOARD – OBERLEUTNANT ZUR SEE
This is a single shoulder board for an Oberleutnant zur See. This rank would be equivalent to a Hauptmann in the Army.
The shoulder board has the double pips of an Oberleutnant zur See and a small Navy button in place. It has a silk black edge at the far end of the shoulder board. On the reverse it has Navy felt backing. Also a strap with ties to mount it on the tunic. The shoulder board is in fine condition. It is very difficult to find Navy shoulder boards. Epaulets are more frequently seen.
