GERMANY – SANKE CARD – LEUTNANT WILHELM FRANKL – NR 384
Sanke card Nr 384 of Wilhelm Frankl, an early winner of the Pour le Mérite. He was of Jewish decent and in the 1930’s he was written out of the history books or was referred to as “The Jew who won the Blue Max.”
Seated outdoors in his uniform with the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class and the Prussian pilot badge pinned to it. At his collar is the Pour le Mérite.
The card is in mint condition and has never been mailed.
