This postcard shows us the Princess Viktoria Luise. She was Kaiser Wilhelm II’s only daughter. She later became the Duchy of Braunschweig’s Herzogin as Herzog Ernst August’s wife. The young princess is wearing a high-necked dress with pearls. Her head is topped with a fashionable period hat. On the reverse is a lengthy message that took so much place it precluded an address or stamp to mail it! (Maybe they mailed it in an envelope)?
