Description
This color postcard depicts the Netherlands’ Queen Wilhelmina (1880 – 1962). She married Hendrik, Duke of Mecklenburg-Schwerin in 1901. She was a symbol of Dutch strength and heroism throughout her reign, which included both World Wars. She abdicated in favor of her daughter Juliana in September 1948, after reigning almost 58 years.
