These are assorted small newspapers from the period 1916-1918 in Germany.

A) Berliner Illustrirte Zeitung dated March 1918. Front page shows captured British soldiers by the Kreuzer S. M. S. Wolf. There are eight pages. The front is almost separated from the rest. Interior photos show more coverage of the Wolf, including her floatplane and her commander, Fregattenkapitän Nerger, who was just awarded his Pour le Mérite. There are also maps of the former Eastern front. There is also a very interesting advertisement section that features patriotic items and new fangled wrist watches!

C) Das Illustrierte Blatt dated March 1918. This large format newspaper has a full page photo of Fregattenkapitän Nerger of the S. M. S. Wolf. Lots of photos of Germany and the war effort. The back page has a column about aviation and shows a photo of Eduard Ritter von Schleich.
