AUSTRIA / PRUSSIA – PATRIOTIC PIN – BULLET CASING
This is a rather unusual German/Austrian patriotic pin. The central theme is an empty bullet casing most likely from a pistol. This casing is attached to a metal backing. On the bullet casing we see the German Empire (Prussian) and Austrian flags in enamel. Hanging from the bottom of the casing is a small medallion which has the profiles of Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany and Kaiser Franz Josef of Austria.
