Christopher Draper was a colorful man who served in Great Britain’s Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) AND its Royal Air Force (RAF). The RNAS was absorbed into the RAF in 1918, so he then held the British Army’s rank of Major rather than his naval rank. He was less than happy about the situation and continued to wear his naval uniform rather than that of the Army! He was an ace who once wounded Werner Voß. He received his nickname for his habit of flying under bridges at all times. He had an interesting career that included acting as a double agent for England and rejoining the Royal Navy during WW II.
This book was published in 1962 and was a first edition in the U.S., after having been published in England. It is a hardback edition complete with its dust jacket. The book has two-hundred-thirty-one pages and is liberally illustrated. It deals with his life between and during the two world wars.
