Description
In this color postcard, we see Hellmuth von Mücke saluting from the deck of the S. M. S. Ayesha as an enemy sailing ship slides beneath the waves. Von Mücke and his crew from the S. M. S. Emden were successful in sinking British shipping. They ultimately returned to Germany and great acclaim. On the reverse we see the postcard was mailed from Bavaria.
