Description
The German Navy’s single most important action during WW I may well have been the sinking of three British Cruisers in the war’s second month. The event took place over less than an hour. Otto Weddigen, along with the crew of his tiny U-9, was elevated to hero level by the German people. A message is written on the postcard’s reverse, but it was not mailed.
