Kaiser Franz Josef had a long rule of Austria. He sat upon the Hapsburg throne for 60+ years. This color postcard commemorates the 60th year of his rule. The central theme is his oval portrait, with the Hapsburg Crown above him. The rest of the postcard shows a variety of postage stamps covering his rule’s span. The reverse shows that the postcard was mailed, but the postage stamp was removed.
