Description
This is a demitasse coffee cup and saucer. The saucer is 4 1/8″ in diameter and on its blue surface in gold we see “Erinnerung aus Großer zeit 1914/15. The saucer is marked for the noted Bavarian form Rosenthal. The demitasse cup is also blue with a handsome 1914 Iron Cross in gold. The inside of the cup is also a most striking gold. There is repaired damage to the cup as at some point it shattered in 3-4 pieces. It has been nicely repaired and the damage is more noticeable in the interior than the exterior. It is also marked for Rosenthal. While a pity that this damage took place the pricing reflects the fault.
