PRUSSIA – DESK PIECE – ENLISTED MAN – 1. GARDE-FELDARTILLERIE-REGIMENT

$150.00

This is an unusual desk piece for an enlisted man from 1. Garde-Feldartillerie-Regiment. It was the senior of the Prussian Army’s Garde Artillery Regiments. It was founded in 1816. It was garrisoned in Berlin, where like all Garde-Regiments, it was attached to the GardeKorps. Inside the sloped frame, which measures 5 3/4″ x 3″ x 1,” is a reproduction of the regiment’s feldgrau shoulder strap. It is under glass. We see a gray background with the field artillery’s burgundy flaming bomb. At the top is a simulated button with the number “5.” At the wood frame’s bottom, we read “Erites Garde-Feldartillerie-Regiment 5. Batterie.” It is well made and displays quite attractively.
