Description
This is a framed lithograph or newspaper photograph of Vizeadmiral Graf von Spee. He was an hero early in WW I. He brought his squadron east across the Pacific and defeated a British squadron off the coast of Chile. Barely a month later, his squadron was defeated at the Battle of the Falklands. Spee and his two sons died in the action. The photograph (in the frame) measures 11 1/2″ x 8 1/2.” The period frame measures 9″ x 6.”
