Description
This is a promotion patent that has been issued to Leutnant der Reserve Adolf Sidler. Sidler was promoted to this rank from Wachmeister vom Landwehr. The promotion patent has been framed under glass and measures 13″ x 8 ½.” It took place on 12 May 1918. Sidler served in Württembergerisches Train-Abteilung Nr 13. The unit was established in 1871 and garrisoned at Ludwigsberg, where it was attached to the XIII. ArmeeKorps. The document was signed by both König Wilhelm II of Württemberg and the Kriegsminister. The document has never been folded. Very few patents we see are unfolded. After being under glass for all these years, the document is in amazing condition.
