Description
This is a one-page general communiqué from Hauptquartier Ost, the main headquarters of Armeegruppe Ost. It is dated 30 December 1915 and comes from Oberbefehlshaber Ost, Generalfeldmarschall von Hindenburg. The document measures 8 ½” x 13,” and begins “To the trusted soldiers of the Heeresgruppe.” Hindenburg goes on to extol his men for their many victories in the East in 1914 and 1915. He calls upon them to continue their efforts in 1916. The document is in excellent condition. It has been folded, but the document is clean and undamaged.
