Description
This is a badge for forty years long service in the German railway system. The badge has a silver toned wreath. Extending beyond the wreath we see a winged railroad wheel. Below the wheel we see a “40″ in a box in gilt. Above the wheel is a gilt Prussian crown.
The badge is stamped in design in the cliche style. Inscribed on the reverse is information that shows that it comes from the workshop of Joh. Wagner & Sohn Berlin. It is also stamped for .800 silver. It has a horizontal pin. The badge is in excellent condition.
