GERMANY – PATRIOTIC PIN – TRENCH ART – DRIVING BAND OF AN ARTILLERY SHELL
This is an interesting patriotic pin that makes use of the driving band as a the background of the pin. On the surface we see a pair of oak or laurel leaves. Between them we see what appears to be a miniature bullet or artillery shell. On it we see the date of 1914 or 1915. (I can’t see which it is.) This makes it an early war pin. On the reverse we see a sturdy pin.
