GERMANY – SANKE CARD – OBERLEUTNANT EDUARD RITTER von SCHLEICH – NR 578
Eduard Ritter von Schleich was a Bavarian. He achieved thirty-five confirmed victories during WW I. He was awarded the Orden Pour le Mérite and the Bavarian Military Max Joseph which was the highest award from his home state. This also granted him knighthood and the right to attach “Ritter” to his name.
In this pose of Sanke card Nr 578 he is wearing a cap and an overcoat with a fur collar. None of his decorations are in sight.
This postcard is in excellent condition and was never mailed.
