GERMANY – SANKE CARD – OBERLEUTNANT MAX IMMELMANN – NR 361
This is Sanke card Nr 361 of Oberleutnant Max Immelmann. It is a “death card” which has a cross after his name and indicates that it was printed after his death.
In the photograph he is standing in front of a back cloth. He is wearing a medal bar with two high level Saxon decorations, a 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class, and the Knights Cross with Swords of the Hohenzollern House Order. Below that he wears the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class and the Prussian Army Pilot Badge. At his throat is the coveted Orden Pour le Mérite.
The card is in very fine condition and has never been mailed.
