GERMANY – SAUCER – KPM
This is a very fine cup saucer from the famed Prussian porcelain maker KPM. Founded by Prussian King Frederick the Great, this firm provided tableware for every King/Kaiser of Prussia/Germany thereafter. They also provided the tableware for Princes of the House of Hohenzollern.
KPM also provided top quality items to the German people who flocked to their showrooms to buy from the firm that provided plates etc. to the King/Kaiser. This was especially the case during the Great War when they produced patriotic items to support Germany (And for good commercial reasons as well.).
The saucer is has two thin gold trim bands. Between the gold trim bands there is a band of light pink which matches the cup. On the bottom of the saucer there is hallmarking for KPM.
Excellent condition, bordering on mint.
