Description
This is a postcard of the Small or Light Cruiser S. M. S. Magdeburg. She was the lead ship of that class, which had a total of four ships, and was commissioned in 1912. She was lost early in WW I, when stranded on some rocks in August 1914. The postcard shows her under steam. The upper left corner has a description of her technical specs. The postcard has no writing on the reverse. It was not mailed.
