Description
Here we have a small black frame measuring 3 1/8″ x 2 5/8.” Frames like this were used as mourning pieces to house the photos of soldiers who died in their country’s service. A small silver Iron Cross is embossed on the bottom of the frame. Inside the frame is a photo of a young NCO. A piece of the glass is missing in the frame’s upper left corner. As always, such pieces are heartbreakingly touching.
