Description
A single page recap of the day’s leading war activities was released to the general public on a daily basis. The document measures 11 ½” x 12 ¾.” Borders on three of its sides boast Germany’s national colors: red, black, and white. Each recap page features a war communiqué number and date, along with the day’s important news. This particular communiqué is number 1086, which is dated 22 December 1916. The bulk of the communiqué deals with the U.S. and its status as a neutral nation. This status changed by April 1917, when the U.S. entered the war against Germany (primarily due to German U-Boot activity). The document is in excellent condition.
