Each recap page features a war communiqué number and date, along with the day’s important news. This particular communiqué is number 1124, which is dated 2 March 1917. It mentions the many Allied ships sunk in the North Sea, Atlantic Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as action at the Somme. The page’s top sports a kriegsflagge. Its bottom shows a German warship in profile steaming through the water. The document is in excellent condition.
