Description
This is an excellent pair of dress (banjo style) epaulettes from Schlesisches Pionier-Bataillon Nr 6. This was a Prussian unit that was formed in 1816. It was garrisoned at Nieße, where it was assigned to the VI. Armeekorps. These epaulettes are markedly smaller than most, measuring 5″ x 3 ½.” Their trim is silver, and their Bataillon number is gilt. The material on the obverse and reverse is red and flawless. This is an absolutely superb pair of epaulettes. They are the first I have encountered from this Bataillon.
