Description
This postcard depicts the Paul von Hindenburg Jugendherberge (youth hostel) in Hannover. It was located near the Maschsee, an artificial lake in a section of Hannover. The Maschsee was created in the 1930’s. A pencil-written note on the back appears to have a 1939 date. It has also been stamped with a saying, “Erfülle Deine Luftschutzpflicht! (Fulfill your Anti-aircraft Duty!).” So, it apparently dates from early in WW II.
