Description
This postcard shows Bavaria’s Kronprinz Rupprecht prior to WW I’s beginning. During WW I, Rupprecht was one of the most able and effective royal commanders. In fact, he rose to the rank of generalfeldmarschall, commanding an Armeegruppe that was composed of multiple armies. The postcard was mailed in 1915. It bears a postage stamp with his father, König Ludwig III’s, likeness.
