Description
This postcard shows Duke Maximilian of Bavaria (1808-1888). Maximilian was a minor member of the Wittelsbach Royal House. His daughter Elisabeth (1837-1898), known as Sissi to family and friends) married Kaiser Franz Josef I of Austria. The postcard was not mailed.
