Description
This postcard of Kaiser Wilhelm (1859-1941) has a faded obverse. Postcards and photographs of the period used silver in the photographic process. Oxidation often caused the fading, ghostlike effect. The postage stamp has been affixed to the obverse. On the reverse we see that the message was written in English to a woman in the U.S.! Its author also signed the postcard on the front.
